BeyondProfile:Request Correction

From BeyondProfile

Last updated: 10 September 2026

BeyondProfile welcomes factual corrections from anyone - subjects of an article, their representatives, sources cited in an article, and general readers alike.

Who Can Request a Correction

Anyone who notices a factual error, outdated detail, or misleading statement can request a correction. You do not need an account to submit a request, although registered contributors have an additional option below.

How to Submit a Request

Email corrections@beyondprofile.org with the following information:

  • The exact title (and, if possible, URL) of the article
  • The specific sentence, figure, or claim you believe is incorrect
  • What you believe the correct information is
  • A source or evidence supporting the correction (an official website, government or institutional record, published report, or other reliable reference)
  • Your relationship to the subject, if any (see the conflicts of interest section of the Editorial Policy)

Requests with clear, specific details and a supporting source are reviewed faster than general or unsupported claims.

What Happens Next

  • An editor reviews the request against the supporting source(s) provided.
  • Straightforward factual corrections (a date, a title, a spelling, a broken reference) are typically applied directly.
  • Requests to remove information that is accurate but simply unfavorable are reviewed under the same standard as any other edit - see the Editorial Policy - and may require additional review or may be declined.
  • You will not always receive an individual reply, but every request is reviewed. Response times are described on the Contact page.

Registered Contributors

If you have a registered account with editing rights, you can edit most articles directly rather than filing a request, and your change is visible immediately in the page history. Significant edits to biographical or organizational articles - especially ones about yourself, your employer, or a client - should still follow the sourcing and conflicts-of-interest standards in the Editorial Policy rather than being made unilaterally.
